Ann Dean
Nottingham, United Kingdom
I am a permaculture designer, edible perennial plant grower and starting a small plant nursery, learning supporter for traumatised children and trying my hand at blogging. Formerly I worked as a medical doctor and CEO of an AIDS charity in South Africa. I am passionate about connecting people with nature and local, healthy food. I am also wanting to mobilise Christian churches to put a greater emphasis on caring for the environment.
What I offer
Think like a tree
I offer an introductory workshop, or a full 24hr course (4hrs/wk over 6 weeks or 8hrs/wk over 3 weeks). I teach people how to observe patterns and principles we can see repeated in nature. We then can think about how to apply these to any situation in our life and create a nature informed design.
Food forest/ edible landscape design
Are you concerned about climate change and food insecurity? Do you have a garden or land around your offices that could be better used? I can help create a design that will create a lush, productive, wildlife friendly, low maintenance space; your own garden of Eden. No space is too small!
