Working with business functions to define their challenges and aligning these findings to business drivers enabled me to create, tailor and implement a pay structure that bought clarity around goals, as well as acting as a motivatinoal tool and placing the business as an employer of choice.
Working with multiple business functions to define what functionality was required from an HRMS enabled me to identify the best option from a busy market, create and deliver an implementation plan, all while keeping data integrity and security at the heart of the project.
Frustrations with the performance of agencies led to the suggestion to bring recruitment into the HR & Talent team. I took this opportunity to work closely with hiring managers to reform our recruitment processes to evaluate candidates more effectively, maintaining continuity across the business.
Summer of 2018 we took a little boat from Quadra Island a long old way up the Johnstone Strait and spent the next 4 days kayaking alongside humpbacks, orca, seals, eagles, grizzlies, cougars and the mighty banana slug. Mostly very majestic.
