Corporate insurance
I worked for Aviva the UK's largest insurer as well as one of the most innovative of its time Independent Insurance.
From here I learnt the power of good governance and the skill of trading and driving growth.
The company grew from circa £500m to £1bn in 4 years.
Insurance new start to scale and exit
I was part of the founding teams for two successful insurance companies. Fusion, launched in 2001, achieved over £120m in premium income before a successful exit. Aspen, started in 2011, grew to £85m. Both ventures highlight my expertise in building and scaling businesses from the ground up.
Insurance Broker - scaling established businesses
I joined Denis O Brown Insurance Brokers in 2019, overseeing its growth from 30 staff and £13m income to 50 staff and £20m income in just 18 months. By transforming the brand, structure, and culture, I scaled both the business and its people for sustained success.
IRONMAN - nothing is impossible
At the age of 55 I completed my second Ironman in Copenhagen this year.
6 months of 6 days a week intense training delivered success.
I take this focus, drive and ambition with me into my clients. I know that nothing is impossible with a great team, plan and training!
