Board level planning requires vision and foresight. I help shape strategy and build Board teams. I’ve served in NATO as UK's lead planner, managed MOD's contribution to UK resilience, led contingency planning for a no-deal BREXIT and managed a £1.3Bn annual budget as an Army Board Director.
I'm a passionate sustainability advocate. As Army lead for climate change, I managed their first strategy, policy and plans to achieve Net Zero by 2050. I've studied at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and commissioned the Army’s first Solar Farm in 2021.
I offer proven Major Programme Planning expertise. An MPLA alumni; I've managed the Army’s recruiting, training, community engagement and institutional foundations. I've run (as SRO) Govt (GMPP) complex Programmes and I support the Cabinet Office as a high-risk Programme reviewer.
I have 30+ years of operational leadership and project expertise, working from Exec Board level through to small company start-ups and Charity Trustees, Engaging and collaborative, I can offer wider ranging mentoring, advice and guidance to build strong governance with empathetic leadership.
I've led (as Govt SRO), the £1.8Bn Army Basing Programme, a GMPP Programme to relocate 20,000 British Forces personnel from Germany to UK. Exceeded the £241m efficiencies p/a target whilst managing a myriad of external stakeholders; from local authorities to Government Ministers.
Chief of Staff for MOD's UK Resilience Contingency Plans
I've managed Defence's contribution to UK resilience supporting Other Government Departments, from UK resilience operations and contingency planning to Operation YELLOWHAMMER; MoD’s support to a no-deal BREXIT.
I was the Army Board lead for climate change and sustainability, responsible for developing and driving Army strategy, policy and plans to achieve Net Zero by 2050. I delivered the Army's first solar farm in 2021.
Chief of Staff - Army Strategic Recruting Partnership
As Chief of Staff, I enabled the Army's strategic recruiting partnership with Capita at Board level. My engagement anchored both the reset of the high level interpersonal Board relationships and shaped a wholly restructured programmatic approach unlocking operational delivery success.
I led the RSME Group, the Army’s largest PPP; a £3.2Bn, 30-year PFI contract with the HOLDFAST consortium. The partnership transformed tri-service Regular and Reservist training across 7 training schools geographically spread across 6 UK sites.
I was responsible for tri-service Regular and Reservist training for Defence, delivering on budget, leading a group of 7 training schools geographically spread across 6 UK sites. I've led transformation of training design, delivery and doctrine supporting 11,000 trainees on 800 courses p/a.
Govt Major Programme High Risk Reviewer - Cabinet Office
I support the Cabinet Office as a high risk reviewer of GMPP (Govt Major Projects Portfolio) scale programmes. I trained at Oxford Uni and Said Business School (MPLA) and am adept at managing complex stakeholder dynamics. My reviews have ranged across Govt Depts (MoD, MoJ, HMRC and DfT).
