Enabling Zero Emissions Flight
Created a consortium and led a successful bid into the Aerospace Technology Institute, resulting in £7.7M grant funding for the development of hydrogen fuel cell propulsion systems for aircraft. Thereafter led the programme through its early stages, recruiting key Programme & Engineering leadership
Creation of critical sales pipeline
Secured over £1 billion of Letters of Intent for zero emissions flight technology that helped to secure over £30 million of VC funding
Hydrogen airport infrastructure
Chair of the Zero Emissions Flight Infrastructure Group; an industry group, with representatives from many UK airports as well as hydrogen technology developers, government, HSE, Civil Aviation Authority and hydrogen producers; focussing on the preparation of airports to adopt hydrogen aircraft
