I help tech startups and scaleups turn data into direction. With 20+ years of experience in the UK and Canada in diverse industries, from media production to healthcare, I combine strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. I love bringing new tech to market that benefits society and using data creatively to solve problems. I have an INSEAD MBA and a PhD in Signal Processing (Engineering) from Imperial College London.
What I offer
Strategic Planning
With experience in strategy and startups/scaleups, I can help transform complex data into clear, actionable strategies that support your goals. Let's work together to cut through the noise, align your team, and make confident, data-driven decisions that propel your business forward.
I help founders and leaders tackle the complexities of launching new products: finding product-market fit, using resources efficiently, sourcing skills, and standing out from competitors.
Navigating the unique complexities of the tech industry? Struggling with analysis paralysis? I help identify and tackle core challenges, providing clarity and actionable steps for your and your venture’s success.
Is your organization committed to supporting entrepreneurs? I demystify business concepts, making them easily understandable and relatable. Sessions offer practical insights and interactive activities related to AI, product management, business planning, team building, and design thinking.
Need help generating educational content for your business? I have years of experience in writing articles that simplify complex concepts and technologies for different audiences. Topics have ranged from automatic image deblurring and dental restorations (science) to mortgage penalties (business).
I've led the development of innovative data/video analytics products in healthcare, security, and media. Most recently, I was VP Product at a tech company where we used AI to offer cost-effective, accurate dental curing light testing, partnering with 3M and also selling directly to clinics/DSOs.
Following my MBA at INSEAD, I joined the London office of the global strategy consulting firm L.E.K., where I led teams in executing high-stakes, time-sensitive projects for government, private equity, and hedge fund clients. I was later a business advisor to women entrepreneurs.
I created and led a month-long social entrepreneurship program for high school students within the acclaimed Shad Canada network. I also served as the Research/Partnership Director for a new sustainable design engineering degree program, and as a Non-Executive Director at a startup incubator.
I’ve volunteered as a mentor to budding entrepreneurs and university students in programs like the Royal Academy of Engineering Leadership Award, Lab2Market, and Women in Science and Engineering. I was an industry supervisor to an Engineering Doctorate student (now an Engineering Manager at Meta).
As a Daily Telegraph science writing award winner, I’ve crafted compelling narratives with data to support pitches to potential investors and applications for research funding. I’ve used data creatively to demonstrate impact for investors and funders, and to estimate ROI for potential customers.
I’ve presented to many different audiences: research presentations at large international conferences; invited talks for students on career development and entrepreneurship; business planning sessions for entrepreneurs. I’ve led workshops related to design thinking, team building, and robotics.
Pedalling Challenges: From Etape du Tour to Trailblazing Team
I completed the gruelling Etape du Tour twice, one of few women participants. My partner (a former elite UK time trialist) and I were instrumental in getting the a3crg cycling team off the ground. Our entrepreneurial spirit led us to later introduce TORQ Fitness products to Canada.
