Velocity Black
I built the B2B arm of Velocity Black. I grew customers and revenues from scratch to more than 50% of the business. I built my team to 30.
We sold the business for $297m in 2023.
I won large contracts with companies including Rolls-Royce, Peninsula Hotels, Jaguar Land Rover, and the LA Chargers.
Successful exit
In May 2023, Velocity Black was sold to Capital One for $297m.
I was responsible for sourcing the initial interest from the acquirer, leading significant elements of the acquisition, building strong relationships with my counterparts, and seeing the deal through to completion.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
I have won 2x seven-figure deals from Rolls-Royce for different businesses.
My role included RFP response, model building/pricing, contract negotiation, implementation and delivery.
I have a deep understanding of what such a luxury business wants and how to win profitable, landmark contracts.
Integration
Following Velocity Black's acquisition by Capital One in 2023, I was the most senior Velocity Black team member to deliver on the integration.
I was promoted to VP in 2024 and helped ensure smooth transition into Capital One's 55k team and federally-regulated space as a Fortune 100 business.
Long-distance cycling
Despite not regularly getting out on my bike as much as I'd like throughout the year, I have completed a few long-distance cycling challenges: London to Land's End, London to Edinburgh, Venice to Rome, and Bilbao to Barcelona.
We've also raised more than £1m for charity along the way.
