I’m a strategic operations specialist with extensive experience of improving resource efficiency and commercial performance. After many years in the tech sector, I’m keen to follow a more personal passion and connect with professionals working in the built environment. If you’re an architect or civil engineer, struggling to leverage your creativity against the daily grind, then drop me a line - I'd be delighted to help.
What I offer
Leverage
When there aren't enough hours in the day, your energies are best focused on only those things that only you can do. Beyond this, your effectiveness as a leader will require you to lean on someone you trust to make things happen, tackle problems before they arise, and innovate relentlessly.
Your effectiveness as a business leader will improve with the input of a confidante, who is capable of playing devil's advocate, bouncing ideas, and ensuring your vision underpins your strategy.
I have an extensive and diverse background in communications, after qualifying as a sub-editor early in my career. Subsequently, I have worked on press releases to national newspapers, supported FTSE 350 companies with preparation of board packs, and presented at live conferences and webinars.
'Getting stuff done' is really my forte, whether that involves bringing half-baked ideas to life, or grasping nettles other fear to touch. Working with senior leadership to identify and prioritise key deliverables, I set OKRs to ensure initiatives are suitably resourced, and run to schedule.
From VC-backed SMEs to listed multinationals, I have instilled a culture best-practice and personal ownership among my teams and colleagues. Net benefits include enhanced resource productivity, improved staff retention, reduced client turnover and greater conversion of opportunities.
At any one time I will lead multiple cross-functional initiatives, ranging from strategic operations, to developing technical solutions, to owning relationships with external consultants and contractors. Trusted stand-in when senior leadership positions fall vacant, and for onboarding new directors.
