What I offer

Software and a Service
FDPack is a unique, cost-effective outsourced management accounting service providing owners and directors with financial clarity and peace of mind that they can securely access bespoke, reliable and up-to-date monthly financial statements in the formats they need for effective decision making.

Software in a Sandwich
We provide a service that sits between bookkeeping and external accountants. Most SMEs don't need anything else to cover all their financial and management accounting needs. We use proprietary FDPack software to model, forecast and present the information a business needs to know.

Scale
Having recently moved our tools into the FDPack Web App we are now working to scale the business with its unique offering of Software and a Service providing instant access to the tools and expertise a business needs to generate MI for effective decision making.

Would like to meet...
FDPack is a great solution for any business that needs to make sense of its financials but is not ready for the risk and cost of an in-house solution. Growing businesses, lean businesses as well as stakeholders or advisers to good companies who recognise that they just need better numbers.
Experiences

The story so far...
Semi-pro footballer, aspiring pianist, frustrated author, dog lover, francophile, International MBA. 17 years in a variety of roles with Decathlon in France and the UK. Personal and corporate financial planning & analysis. A wide range of commercial and life experience, mistakes and triumphs.

Learning the language
After completing an MBA in Paris, I joined Decathlon at their HQ in Lille and was fortunate to be part of the management accounting team supporting the founder, Michel Leclerc, as Decathlon began their expansion across Europe. I learned to speak the language of large format retailing in french.

Retailing is about buying not selling
The global success of Decathlon is based on a mastery of the supply chain from design to retail via sub-contracted manufacturing and logistics. I returned to the UK to open a product sourcing office in Nottingham working with UK manufacturers of components and finished products.

Did Ikea get it right?
Now responsible for Decathlon’s new UK site development, my challenge was how far do you modify a winning retail format when entering a foreign market? Do you bend to the customs and constraints of the new market or do you keep meatballs on the menu and show the locals what they have been missing?

Choosing a franchise
Leaving Decathlon and determined to be my own boss, I researched the UK franchise market and bought into a network of 200 purchasing consultants. I learnt how much money is wasted by businesses in expenses that are not their primary costs as a result of lack of focus and poor purchasing practices.

Do you want to know when your money will run out?
I built and sold a financial advice firm that used planning software to set long-term targets for personal income, spending, investment returns and overall wealth. A fascinating journey into the psychology of money and investment as well as the complete cycle of starting and selling a business.
