What I offer
Steve Hampson Consulting
I'm exploring how I can offer freelance services to not for profit organisations, especially those serving people affected by dementia, focussing on leadership and team development, performance improvement, and customer and service user voice. I hope to market my services from April 2021.
At Alzheimer's Society, I led a team providing dementia support services across the East of England and East Midlands. We provided information, advice and individual support for people affected by dementia, and ran activity and social groups, funded by NHS and local authorities.
I was Head of Innovation & Programmes at Age UK, attracting funding for, and delivering, a series of national programmes to test new ways to improve older peoples' health and wellbeing, tackle loneliness and social isolation, promote digital inclusion, and reduce fuel poverty.
I worked for over 25 years in local authority housing services, initially tackling homelessness in Haringey and Southwark, and more recently as Executive Director at Harlow and South Cambridgeshire District Councils. I was until 2019 a Board member at Hundred Houses Society in Cambridge.
