MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

Programme Terms and Conditions

Participants in the TPC Mentorship Programme (the “Programme”) shall be subject to the terms and conditions set forth below (the “Agreement”). This is an agreement between you and The Portfolio Collective so please read it carefully before joining the Programme. By paying the Programme fee and joining as a participant, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

1. Eligibility Requirements

Participants in the Programme have been accepted by submitting a survey questionnaire and through a pre-selection process based on a set of review criteria for the Programme. Selection decisions are in The Portfolio Collective’s sole discretion and are confidential.

2. Programme Committment

Please carefully read the Commitment Statement before enrolling to ensure you can comply with the stated commitments. You will confirm you have read and agree with the Commitment Statement during the payment process. Failure to comply with the Commitment Statement may lead to removal from the Programme or failing the accreditation process.

3. Fee

The Programme Fee covers all course materials, live module sessions, networking and check-in sessions, MBTI assessment and hands-on mentoring practice. Payment of the Programme fee must be made in advance by credit or debit card within the stipulated time frame.

Payment of the Programme fee does not guarantee accreditation.

4. Termination and Refund

The financial commitment is made at the beginning of the Programme, and The Portfolio Collective cannot offer refunds unless in exceptional circumstances. The Portfolio Collective may terminate this Agreement or an individual engagement at any time, upon written notice for any breach of the Commitment Statement or these Terms and Conditions.

5. Programme Transfer

If for any reason you feel you cannot continue with the Programme, you may be offered a deferment to the next cohort. Please contact Fiona and Ben via [email protected] if you wish The Portfolio Collective to consider such a transfer.

Your acceptance to the Programme is personal to you and therefore you may not transfer the Programme to another person.

6. Recording of Module Sessions

The Portfolio Collective plans to record most module sessions for training purposes and to revisit content; however this will be dependent on the preferences of the expert mentor presenting. Recordings will only be kept for internal use, and extenuating circumstances within the cohort group.

7. Matching Process

The Portfolio Collective will facilitate the matching of accredited Mentors through the Programme with Startup and Scaleup Mentees on The Portfolio Collective platform. Whilst best efforts will be undertaken to match accredited Mentors from the Programme with Mentees, The Portfolio Collective cannot guarantee a resulting match following Programme completion.

8. Mentoring Sessions

Before conducting Mentoring sessions, consider setting up an agreement to ensure both parties are covered. Some items that you may want to include in an agreement are; effective date of the agreement, time period that the agreement lasts, obligations, non-disclosure requirements etc.

In conducting Mentoring sessions as an accredited Mentor through the Programme, you will provide the Mentoring sessions with all due care, skill and diligence and in accordance with the agreed framework of the Programme and act in a proper and professional manner.

9. Mentoring Income

Accredited Mentors’ billing to Startup and Scaleup Mentees, that have been matched via The Portfolio Collective, will be made via The Portfolio Collective Limited. The amount billed will be the hours worked x an hourly rate. The hourly rate will be equivalent to the hourly rate set by the mentor (to The Portfolio Collective), plus a maximum 25% mark-up for TPC fees. Once payment is received from the mentee, The Portfolio Collective will then pay the Mentor.

10. Grading

You will receive a final course grade upon completion of the programme. This grade is calculated based on the following criteria: attendance, participation, mentee feedback, completed TPC profile, quality of case study presentation, 360 degree feedback and an NPS score derived from feedback from the TPC team, your mentee and your cohort. We are happy to discuss your final grade in more detail if you have any questions at the end of the course.

11. Questions

If you have any questions about the General Terms and Conditions, please contact Ben and Fiona at  [email protected].
