We're looking for 👀

We're searching for a strategic and team oriented interim Head of Marketing to join Zinc, taking charge of planning, strategizing, and overseeing all marketing initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our scaling journey post Series A funding and as the driving force behind the marketing strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's success. Your leadership and management skills will be essential in guiding and mentoring a talented team, while your ability to think strategically and maintain meticulous attention to detail will ensure the successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously. Reporting and analysis will be crucial components of your role, allowing you to effectively track progress, measure results, and provide valuable insights to the broader team. Furthermore, your proven leadership abilities will empower you to steer our marketing team towards achieving ambitious targets, leveraging your entrepreneurial mindset to drive growth and innovation.

Your day-to-day 🗓

  • Plan, implement and manage the marketing strategy and leading the development of all marketing plans
  • Set marketing goals and objectives and use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions
  • During the onboarding phase, you’ll immerse yourself in the HRTech sector to deeply understand our buyer: the HR and Talent professiona.
  • Own and efficiently scale the marketing budget, allocating spending and optimising a blend of channels to hit growth targets efficiently, while thinking long term and being resourceful
  • Further our growth strategy through our current channels whilst evaluating other sales/distribution channels
  • Design, plan and execute effective marketing campaigns
  • Implement marketing data analytics and ROI analysis for campaigns and channels, defining CAC and LTV, while executing robust optimisation and A/B testing programs.
  • Reviewing and reporting on all areas of the marketing strategy and its implementation
  • You will lead and mentor a team of 4 marketers working across a broad set of functions including content marketing, event marketing, social, email and paid. You will consistently evaluate new ways to increase efficiency and coach the team
  • Be a leader across the organisation, you’ll represent the marketing voice within the organisation, bringing your insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Tech, Sales, Partnerships and Account Management, Customer success and Ops closely to uncover insights and sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant market trends, with the broader team.
  • Conducting strategic marketing analysis that will help guide marketing messages
  • Consistently identifying new or expanded marketing opportunities and strategising the implementation of plans.
  • Define, measure and report the performance of all paid marketing channels/campaigns and assess against ROI and KPI goals including lead generation and sales demo bookings.
  • Drive the evolution of our brand positioning, bringing it to life in a clear and consistent way that resonates with and motivates our target audiences.
  • You will promote the company as an innovator to the press and public and oversee outbound customer-facing communications across our website, blog, and social channels.
  • Deepen relationships with key partners. You will nurture existing relationships with key partners, aligning on mutual goals and driving adoption through a variety of co-marketing efforts.
  • Manage prospect segmentation strategy and develop smart attribution modeling, ensuring we reach the right audience with the right message, at the right place and time.

  • Strong analytical skills. You are comfortable with data and analytics, and you can clearly communicate your results and ideas
  • Strong communication is a given, you’re confident with presenting and effectively interacting with all levels of the organisation

Package 💰

We want to be transparent about our salary range and so use banding to help you understand where you would sit in the range. We will let you know after the screening call what banding you are tracking for so that there are no surprises. Band 1: Fulfils the majority of the must haves and has the potential to grow into the rest, we will always look to support raw talent over years of experience. The part of the role that this person might not have direct experience of managing is team leadership and experience managing a significant budget Band 2: Fulfils the majority of the must haves and has the potential to grow into the rest, we will always look to support raw talent over years of experience. The part of the role that this person might not have direct experience managing a significant budget Band 3: Has experience of all parts of the role specifically experience scaling a B2B SaaS company from Series A to Series B. Is comfortable managing a significant budget and is extremely comfortable communicating team performance through data. Finally this person would have coached and lead a successful marketing team of more than 3 people. We currently see this role being a 12 month FTC (5 days) but are open to a conversation around it being a contract position or fewer days.
