Fractional CFO

ng-voice

Background

ng-voice was founded in 2011 in Germany by Carsten Bock, who now holds the role of CTIO. Carsten is a VoIP industry veteran, who believed in VoLTE becoming the new mobile voice standard when it was still a niche product. In recent years, demand for flexible software-based network infrastructure has increased, as the industry has changed. ng-voice offers a flagship product of a fully containerised & cloud-native IMS core which enables voice services on LTE, 5G, or any other data-only network. They compete with legacy brands in the industry that have significantly higher cost bases and can’t support smaller operations. The product enables telcos to reduce their costs by 80% for voice call volume.  David Bachmann joined ng-voice as CEO and shareholder in 2019 and Quirin Maderspacher as COO in 2021 (both ex-McKinsey), representing a renewed focus on commercialisation and growth of the business responding to industry changes. The team is supported by an advisory board with a range of senior telecom executives such as the former CEO of Ericsson. The anchor investor of ng-voice is Lansdowne Partners. The company has raised ~ EUR 20m.
