Aidrivers, founded in 2018 by
Rafiq Swash is revolutionising industrial transportation with AI-enabled autonomous technology in port logistics for a sustainable future. Our product, deployed as hardware and software, is integrated into port vehicles and operations, improving efficiency, reliability and sustainability. We are headquartered in the UK, with local operations in Singapore and the UAE. Currently, our main customers are located in South East Asia and the Gulf region, with additional engagements in Europe and North America. Currently the business is closing our series A round. Near term, our priorities are timely delivery of project milestones and scaling up deployments with two existing customers while onboarding a couple of new customers.
The role - COO
Aidrivers have now built significant demand and traction and the market and this, alongside the closing of the next funding round, means the company is looking to build more infrastructure, define internal processes and scale the business. To support in this they are looking to bring in a COO with experience working in the scaling phase and able to implement order amongst a multitude of activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the company, with focus on project implementation and delivery.
- Ensure that operational plans align with the company’s goals and strategic objectives. 3. Oversee procurement and manage supply chain to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage and allocate operational resources, including budgeting, staffing, hiring and training.
- Monitor and improve the effectiveness of operational processes and workflows.
- Improve and sustain customer experience and engagement by aligning operational processes with customer needs and expectations.
- Track projects over time and generate metrics to monitor product performance. 8. Track project delivery against budget, and against operational KPIs.
- Contribute to tenders and project proposals.
- Oversee the health and safety policies/procedures in mitigating risks and disruptions.
- Communicate with board and investors, both ongoing and as part of future fund raises.
- Sustain and promote the company values and culture.
Requirements
Essential:
▪ Engineering background preferred, with a minimum of 15 years professional experience.
Have held a senior operations leadership role, preferably as a COO, operations director or head of operations, with prior scaling experiences.
▪ Experience setting up and scaling organization, systems and processes for product delivery.
▪ Building and managing teams from different background, culture and experience level.
▪ Familiarity with integrated hardware/software project delivery in an industrial context.
Desirable
▪ Experience with industrial automation, port operations or vehicle OEMs is advantageous.
▪ Experience living or working in international, multicultural environments.
Time Requirement
We are interested in speaking to both Fractional and Full-Time Candidates for this role
Location
Flexibility and hybrid working patterns are available, however, it is important some time every week can be spent in the office in Uxbridge
Remuneration
Full-time salaries will be around £100k + meaningful equity. Following the close of the funding round (estimated within q1 2025) there will be a review of executive compensation.
