Coram, the UK’s first and longest continuing children’s charity.
The role
Founded as the Foundling Hospital by Thomas Coram, Coram has been advocating for children’s rights, supporting families, and ensuring that every child can grow up feeling safe, loved, and able to thrive. Today, they are a dynamic group of charities delivering life-changing services to children, families, and professionals.
This is a pivotal time for Coram. As they embark on their next chapter of growth and development, with a bold and ambitious vision to be the Institute for Children. Coram is driving insight into impact, creating better chances for children, child by child, and changing the odds of the next generation through research, policy and practice development. They are seeking a new Chair of the Finance Committee to provide clear financial oversight, strategic guidance, and governance leadership.
Working closely with the Group CFO and Directors, the Chair of the Finance Committee will lead the Board’s financial scrutiny across a complex group structure. We are looking for someone with senior-level financial experience and a strong understanding of good governance, ideally within a group or charity context.
