PLACE-MAKING & GIANT-KILLING
Last week’s Spotlight Suffolk discussion around the factors influencing our county’s future growth or decline has been & gone.
It was a privilege to be invited to the table to advocate for including the marginalised – particularly the financially challenged among us – in any conversation about growth.
For me, growth will be measured in our county’s increasing collective capacity to showcase an audacity to take on our most monstrous giants, like poverty, & come out on top.
And that’ll be easier with a clear, county-wide, values-led approach that reaches far beyond merely chasing economic metrics to shaping increasing momentum for human flourishing.
The morning after the night before? We were left with some stimulating perspectives, intriguing ideas & some welcome optimism to the feeling that there’s more to be done, but that it’s not entirely beyond us.
Optimism. Hope. That’s not a bad place to …

Hi everyone!
My name is Rita, and this year I decided to do a career change. I worked a lot of years in the corporate world, mostly in marketing and business development positions.
My ingredient to success was (is!) people connection and leadership. That’s why I decided to move to a career oriented to people development.
In the last years I’ve been studying coaching in Co-Active and IE Business School, and now I’m ready!
Coaching is a technique that brings out the best in each person. The coach acts as a facilitator to help each person find their answers and achieve their goals, whether personal or professional.
It brings clarity, whatever the subject is.
If you want to book a discovery session, feel free to reach me.
I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
See you!

– Experience dialogue where learning shapes itself through co-created sense-making

– Let your reflection reveal the context and nuances that will fertilise your next steps
This group session is open for up to 4 certified coaches.
If this sounds like a useful step in your journey, book now!

Good day, portfolio people! I recently joined TPC and just attended this month’s welcome call! I am looking at a job crossroads and realizing that my natural portfolio tendencies should be my guide at this stage of my life.
My profile gives the details, but I’m a writer/editor/writing coach who also has experience in podcasting and video production. I am in the process of launching a resume-writing service and I’m looking at where else I can share my expertise. I’ve also done a fair share of presenting and developing learning materials at work and would like to do more with that.
I started a group for Podcasters & Audio Storytellers for folks who have or who would like to start a podcast as part of their career (or life) portfolio.
Hope to get to know many of you better!

The Transformation Guild (one of the careers in my portfolio) has just published its second FOUR CURRENTS report, ”Adrift or Aligned? The State of Business Transformation”.
The respondents are US-based, but the phenomenon being explored is universal: (1) People, Money, and Time are the only 3 things every organization uses to drive transformation; (2) Every organization has gaps in confidence & alignment related to those those 3 things; (3) Perceptions of transformation value are highly correlated to the size of those gaps.
It’s a beefy report, but (I hope) formatted to make the information accessible.
I don’t know if this is appropriate, but if this community is interested in a brief (45 mins?) Webinar, I’d be happy to prepare.
IMHO, many people in this community have experiences that can help close the gaps we’ve identified. Sharing those practical tips could prove beneficial for those engaged in transformations.

Interesting take on transformation Tom. It seems there is a fourth factor that you could add: mindset. Over the years, I’ve seen that the way leaders and businesses approach transformation: what their beliefs are about how easy/hard it is, how willing they are to change and why they are doing it, play a huge role in how successful, or not, the transformation is.

Hi everyone!
I recently joined TPC to connect with founders, collaborators, and fellow creatives building meaningful, multi-stream careers.
I’m Leticia, a generalist problem-solver through and through. I blend big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. I don’t just offer strategic advice: I roll up my sleeves and help you get things done!
With 20+ years of international experience across corporate and startup environments, I specialise in helping founders and brands turn ideas into structure.
My background spans finance, tech, fashion, wellness, and creative businesses, with a strong focus on remote operations across Europe and Latin America.
I’m now open to new opportunities as I have a few hours a week for a new project! I would love to connect with:
– Founders or consultants who need operational structure and execution
– Purpose-driven projects looking for a strategic partner to move forward
Here’s my calendar link if you’d like to chat:…

As a new member of the community I’d definitely suggest coming along to our Community Welcome call – this 30 minute Zoom session runs through most of what we have to offer, so you can figure out the best use of your time with us: https://portfolio-collective.com/events/getting-started-with-tpc/
Have a great rest of your week!

https://calendly.com/d/cncf-6cy-d9d/tpc-f2f-get-together-in-late-june-early-july
So we’ve been running this poll for a couple of weeks now. Right now Tuesday 1st July is looking like the favourite. I’m going to leave the poll open until the end of Monday. If you do want to join and you’ve not voted yet then please do so. This will be the last one before the summer break .
Also, if you have any suggestions for a venue; probably a bit further South than the last one; Waterloo or London Bridge area very likely then please write in the comments below. I’ll be making the booking next week.
As before, the invite is open to anybody that’s new to TPC or new to Fractional working as well all existing TPC members in the London area. I’ve also tried to pick dates that don’t clash with TPC’s upcoming Catapult and Mentor courses! We’re not planning any specific a…
