Hi All, after 35 years in full-time roles, 15 years at board level; it is time for something new. I have started building a portfolio, currently with board advisor roles but hopefully mixing in NED and fractional CEO to continue my development and the worth I can add to SMEs that I do/will work with. Having only now come across this forum I am happy to connect with like minded people who can bring an array of different skills to provide the support that companies need.

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m heading to today’s event and would love to connect with anyone working on exciting projects or ideas they want to bring to life.
I recently went solo after a decade in tech, and I’m now a one-man agency specialising in turning concepts into reality. I’m a full-stack developer who can take you from initial idea right through to launch – I’ll help you spec out what you need, design the user experience, and build the entire thing. Whether it’s apps, websites, or custom business tools, I handle it all.
The advantage of working with me? I can get your idea to market in weeks rather than months, at a fraction of what traditional agencies charge. No project managers, no account handlers – just direct collaboration with someone who can actually design and build what you need.
I’ve got some capacity opening up in December for the right projects, so if you’ve got something brewing or just want to …

I hope you had a wonderful time on Tuesday, David? Would love to hear how your experience was!
If you’re ready to meet even more of the community, I’d also suggest coming along to our monthly online Community Networking, as this is great to way to meet fellow members! You’ve got a couple of weeks to recuperate (!) but we’d love to see you there: https://portfolio-collective.com/events/community-networking/
Have a great end to your week!

With over three decades in senior leadership, I have held executive roles across complex, fast-evolving organisations—leading transformation, driving financial resilience, and aligning business strategy with long-term value creation.
I experienced a nervous breakdown while serving as a CFO, brought on by chronic overwork and burnout. I came dangerously close to causing serious harm to myself — a turning point that reshaped how I view leadership, success, and wellbeing.
That experience became the catalyst for my commitment to help others facing similar struggles.
Through supportive coaching, I guide leaders in developing balance, emotional resilience, and sustainable ways of working. My approach is grounded in positive psychology, focusing on cultivating a healthier relationship with stress, building strong emotional foundations, and rediscovering meaning and connection in both life and work.
This work is personal. I know how isolating burnout can feel — and I know tha…

Hi Mike interesting post. I have been in the IT Industry for 25 years. I had joined this industry when web development was taking off and I have vast experience working in .Net technologies previously. Currently I manage large scale software development programs. I work with products each of which have been using AI technologies for a while to provide great insights, more efficient and robust results. I would be happy to discuss with you in detail the requirement you have.

Dear TPC Community – I am new to the community and am here to introduce myself! I help professionals stop underselling themselves and start commanding the rooms they’ve earned the right to be in.
I came to this career via my stage experience and my ICF coach qualifications. I work with individuals and businesses to help people walk confidently onto whichever stage they need to deliver on and do so with the confidence that they need.
My portfolio career includes 25+ years as a classical singer, soloing at the BBC Proms at the Albert Hall, singing on over 100 film soundtracks (this year’s include Mission Impossible, Fantastic Four and Jurassic World) and as a backing vocalist for the likes of Take That, Pulp and Florence & the Machine. Beyond this, I have run music departments in London schools, run choirs, and taught singing.
I’m excited to see how this platform works and i’ll see some of you next Tuesday!
All best, Polly

Welcome Polly May
You are the second TPC member today I have interacted with whose first passion was singing – the other being Christabel Biella. Maybe the two of you could give us a duet at the Battersea Arts Centre on Tuesday?

Hey Polly
If you’re around this afternoon it would be lovely to see you at our Community Welcome call: https://portfolio-collective.com/events/getting-started-with-tpc/ We take 30 minutes to run through what TPC is about and what we have to offer, so is a strong way to start your time with us!
Shout if you have any questions in the meantime

Dear Polly, just a note to say that I love movie soundtrack / movie score music, and wanted to say that I listen to playlists of that genre of music constantly – so no doubt have heard you sing. How amazing, what a talent. I wish I could sing, but I was born with the good ears to appreciate what I am listening to. Best regards, John

Hey hey TPC Community!
I just joined this community, and am introducing myself!
I work with e-commerce startup and scale ups, helping founders build their visions into world class businesses with commercial, operational and product planning.
My career spans 20+ years working with some iconic grocery, lifestyle and homeware D2C e-commerce brands in the UK, EU & US, and I have worked with lots of fast growth startups over the last 8 years as a commercial leader. Most recently, I helped to launch BRiMM, a membership-led, planet positive e-commerce marketplace.
My passions outside of work include food, home interiors and renovating.
I’m excited to join this community as I continue to build my portfolio and can’t wait to connect with more of you at the career festival next week!
Best, Christabel
