What happens when you let AI redesign your portfolio career profile?
Tonight I ran an experiment: gave Perplexity’s Comet AI full access to my TPC profile and asked it to make it stand out.
The AI started by analyzing profiles of other members, looking at what draws engagement. Then it systematically worked through my profile:
”Let me rewrite your bio to be more portfolio-focused…”
”I’m moving QuantaLingo to the top of your experiences…”
”Adding ’Artificial Intelligence’ to your skills…”
”Making your offerings more client-centered…”
I literally sat back and watched the browser navigate and type. Took about 30 minutes.
The result? My profile now positions me as an active AI founder who helps other founders (rather than someone with past exits). Much more aligned with the TPC community vibe.

Many of us are updating our online presence for the new year, and strong headshots are one of those things that quietly make a big difference.
My husband Cassius is a London based photographer who specialises in headshots and personal branding portraits. He’s genuinely excellent at putting people at ease and getting natural, professional images. He’s also offering very accessible rates for founders, freelancers and people early in their careers, which might be helpful for anyone looking to update their LinkedIn or portfolio going into 2026.
No pressure at all, but if you’ve been thinking of refreshing your photo, here’s his latest post with some examples and details about his January and February slots.
Happy to answer any questions if it’s useful.
Wishing everyone great holidays!

Hi all, I’d love to tap into the wisdom of this community 🙏
My son, Dominic, is a Maths student at Cardiff looking for a 2026/27 placement in a physics/engineering-led environment — aerospace, defence, engineering, energy, transport, or anywhere maths is used to solve real-world challenges.
If you have contacts or recommendations for organisations with strong Year-in-Industry programmes (or someone he could speak with for guidance), I’d hugely appreciate it.
More context in my LinkedIn post:
Thank you!

Hi Verity, Your son should speak to the Engineering Faculty at Cardiff in the first instance, although they will primarily be interested in their own students first. ProDrive https://careers.prodrive.com/working-here are very good with students as are many of the F1 teams in Oxfordshire. There is a shortage of people interested in engineering despite what we hear about graduate unemployment. Literally just contacting engineering firms and expressing a desire to undertake a placement may well pay…

Hi Verity, I currently work as a quant JP Morgan and have just helped two 2nd year students with 2026 placement hires in different teams here. If finance could be of interest to Dominic, even though I think JPM have closed ’26 applications, I’d be happy to chat about general advice.

Hi guys i have and want to meet more members and I have an opportunity i would like to find a solution from within the community.
Building Yeti.ai over the last months has made one thing very clear: in the current AI wave, ideas are cheap, models are commoditised, and traction is everything.
1. Most LLM hacks are just features – and that’s fine
A lot of the clever things people are building on top of LLMs will inevitably end up as features inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and the other big platforms. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t build them. It just means you’re unlikely to scale them into a unicorn on that feature alone. The more realistic opportunity is to turn them into small, focused SaaS products that don’t need big teams: if you can get to a few hundred or a thousand subscribers, you’ve effectively built a cash-generating micro-business with AI doing most of the heavy lifting.
2. The real tech work starts after the prototype

Hello Everyone,
I have been quiet so far on here since joining so it’s about time I introduced myself.
I am Lizzie, the Founder of my own Brand Studio, Lizzie Ridout Design Ltd – looking to explore a more fractional approach as a Creative Brand Strategist.
The Welsh/Brazilian daughter of two diplomats raised across 5 continents, with nearly 15 years as a Designer, Creative Lead and Brand Guardian – both in house and agency-side – I have now built LRD to be the Strategic, Creative & Cultural Conduit for EMEA+NA Retail and F&B SMEs wanting to turn passable to premium and launch or grow in the UK market.
Would love to connect with any fellow founders, creatives, strategists and marketeers.
Take Care
Lizzie

For the wine lovers in the community:
Hi all – I’m Benedict Johnson, founder of Ourglass Wine. After 20 years in strategy at Ogilvy, AKQA, BBH and Publicis Sapient, I left to build the club I always wished existed.
We work with small producers who make wine with character and story, and share them with clear, useful notes/videos/articles that help you taste, learn, enjoy as you go. Decanter named us Best Wine Club, and the Drinks Retailing Awards shortlisted us for Specialist Online Retailer 2026.
We’ve also launched Taste Decoded – a series on how people from different fields who understand taste think about it. Contributors include Ogilvy’s Rory Sutherland, Oxford’s Charles Spence, Rankin, the FT’s Tim Hayward and others: https://ourglass.wine/
If you’d like something special for Christmas – for yourself, a client or a team – drop us a note and we’ll pull something together: [email protected]
Happy to chat wine, tas…

Hello everyone. Does anyone here have difficult conversations they need to have with staff or team members? I’m in the middle of building an AI powered coaching app based around our unique coaching framework. We have built out a single use-case at the minute, focused on ”difficult conversations” and now I need people to use it to see if the output is actually helpful. If anyone here is interested in giving it a go, let me know.
Here’s what it does:
🧩 Preparation: Helps you diagnose the real issue, gather facts and clarify your outcome (including your part in the picture).
💬 Conversation: Provides structure, coaching prompts and a path to a clear, collaborative agreement.
📋 Follow-up: Builds accountability with actions and timescales.
🔍 Insights: Offers feedback on how you handled the situation and what to work on next.
Thanks
Niall

A cool tool, Niall! Is this designed for HR/People professionals or anyone that manages people? Or perhaps just for anyone that deals with humans in their day to day

-
It’s designed for Managers who manage a team of people. The current use-case is applicable to a wide range of scenarios, though. Anyone who has a difficult conversation they need to have should find it useful. It’s been built with an eye to managing Gen Z specifically, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used with other age groups.
