Digital Project Manager

Lewis.

Our Journey

Lewis Edward

Our journey began with just myself (Lewis Davis) designing and developing websites. After a few years, I brought in a designer and a developer to assist me, allowing us to tackle bigger and better projects together. Now, with a team of designers and developers, we work on various projects for clients, ranging from small clinics to large airlines.

While I remain hands-on with every project, I need support. I’m looking for a project manager with experience in managing web design and development projects or someone with an understanding of this process who is eager to transition into project management. Your role will be to lighten the load by leading projects from start to finish.

This position is a hybrid role combining digital project management and client support. You won’t just be managing projects; you may also undertake project-related tasks, such as obtaining quotes from contractors, sourcing assets, providing feedback to designers and developers, entering content into websites and testing. After completing a project, you’ll also manage ongoing support requests, ensuring they are logged with the relevant development team and completed to the client’s satisfaction. In return, you will enjoy the flexibility to work from home and from our office in central Guildford, Surrey once a week. You’ll work on exciting projects for large companies and smaller, rewarding projects for our valued clients. We prioritise quality over quantity, taking on work where we, as a small team, can deliver an outstanding service and enjoy positive relationships with our clients over many years.

If this is or could be you, I’d love to find out more about you.

Overview

As a Digital Project Manager, you take pride in delivering projects on time and within budget, with real attention to detail. You are involved throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with the designers, development teams and clients to ensure the project’s complete success. Your key strength is combining digital know-how with effective organisation and communication. You are the ultimate plate spinner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Project Plans: Take an agreed project proposal and create a clear project
plan for our design and development teams to follow.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the client throughout the project,
leading meetings when necessary and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Team Coordination: Plan ahead and communicate all requirements to our design
and development teams with as much notice as possible. Regularly check in with,
motivate, and provide feedback to ensure deliverables meet quality, budget, and
    deadline expectations.
  • Project Status Reporting: Track and report project status to team members and
stakeholders, both internally and externally. Manage project plans, handle scope
creep, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables are thoroughly tested and meet our highquality
standards before obtaining client sign-off for project completion.
  • Client Sign-off: Ensure all deliverables are successfully completed and gain client
    approval for the project.
  • Continual Support: Assist clients with support into the future, after their site has
gone live and it evolves over time.

About You

  • Experience: An experienced technical or digital Project Manager, or a designer/
    developer transitioning into project management.
  • Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail, able to compare developed
websites to designs and provide feedback for refinements.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with a Kanban approach to project management,
understanding website design and development processes from initiation through to
    launch.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with the following processes and platforms is
    desirable:
    • Trello
    • Slack
    • WordPress
    • Figma
  • Process-Oriented: You are process-oriented but flexible to adapt to the unique
needs of each project. You maintain a firm yet positive can-do attitude.
