MoneyPlus is embarking on an exciting journey of growth and development. Seeking to focus on brand recognition and customer growth, expanding its services to a wider range of customers across the country following investment from Intriva in 2021, at a time when debt advice is increasingly necessary.

To support this next phase of development and growth, we are on the lookout for a highly motivated Head of Marketing to step into this exciting, brand-new role that promises to make a substantial impact during this crucial phase.

The Role

The focus of this new role is to drive and execute our marketing strategy, building brand awareness and designing and developing the marketing funnel to increase customer acquisition. As a crucial new hire to lead the marketing team, you will report directly to Jonathan Mills, our Chief Commercial Officer. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with our passionate cross-functional teams, which include product development, sales, and customer success. Together, you will work towards increasing brand awareness and communication.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy that accelerates growth, drives website traffic, generates leads, and builds brand awareness and identity while staying true to the core values of MoneyPlus.
  • Create and implement integrated advertising campaigns (both online and offline) to promote the MoneyPlus brand and its products/services.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to lead brand planning across all sales channels and achieve growth, maximise commercial opportunities, raise awareness, and enhance brand equity.
  • Develop and lead the current marketing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and capabilities to deliver the marketing strategy successfully.
  • Build and manage a network of agencies and freelancers to support brand partnerships, custom creative, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Drive change management to support the scaling and modernization of processes, organisational alignment, and mindset shifts that support marketing success.
  • Prepare and manage financial budgets for the Marketing department, as well as performance monitoring of projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing marketing strategies to develop brand awareness from zero to top of mind. 
  • 10+ years of experience in B2C marketing and communication
  • 5+ years of experience in leading and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of brand foundations 
  • Strong knowledge of how to define, test, and scale a market strategy
  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing as well as online and offline marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels such as paid media, SEO, social media, content marketing and email marketing.
  • Experience in leading and managing change management processes
  • Have a proven track record in delivering a high-performance culture in a team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
  • Experience in analysing data and customer behaviour to help inform continuous optimisation of customer journeys and outcomes
  • Able to engage with stakeholders including the C-Suite and board with an ability to communicate complex concepts to a lay audience

Desirable experience

  • Experience in the regulated services industry with a strong consumer focus
  • Financial Services exposure is a plus
  • Experience in building or working in a nascent marketing team within a larger organisation
  • Proficiency with IT systems, tools, analytics, and platforms relating to digital marketing
  • Data savvy, a hands-on approach to gaining actionable data insights

Location

  • Based full-time at the firm’s office in Manchester City Centre, with an ability to work flexibly as required
