We are now looking for a Bid Proposal Lead to assist with our proposal for the Next Generation Professional & Financial Services Report project issued by AI for Services, on behalf of Innovate UK. You’ll collaborate with our leadership team to craft a compelling proposal based on what is outlined in the Opportunity section. The ideal candidate will have experience creating proposals and winning similar contracts with government and similarly large, complex clients. 

 

The Opportunity

Innovate UK, on behalf of AI for Services, is seeking a contractor to research and write a report on the impact of AI on the UK's professional and financial services sectors. The report will explore:
  • The impact of AI on innovation (past 5 years)
  • The investment landscape for early-stage AI ventures
  • Key regional AI clusters outside London
  • Future trends and technologies influencing innovation
We're looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join us as a Bid Proposal Lead for the report. You'll be responsible for crafting a compelling proposal as outlined in the Invitation to Tender & Statement of Works and assist with the Pre-qualification Questionnaire. You will work closely with Emelie Metscher (Chief of Staff to Ben Legg and TPC Business Development Lead) and will be reporting directly to our founder Ben Legg, who will be the sponsor of this project, if successful in the bidding process. 

 

Who Are You?

We are looking for a hard working, results driven and confident individual who can hit the ground running ASAP, as the bid deadline is 24 June.
  • Essential experience
    • Experience with creating and winning government contracts
    • Excellent market research and writing skills
    • Ability to understand and translate technical specifications into clear, concise language
  • Desirable experience 
    • Startup or scaleup experience ideally 
    • Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI)
    • Experience in innovation

    • Highly Organised: Able to understand requests and line them up structurally.
    • Quick-Learner: Adapts rapidly to new information, understands complex requests quickly, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer?

Compensation for the bid part of the project is negotiable based on experience.  The role is fractional, with flexible working hours and remote working. 

 

What are the key deadlines?

The bidding for the project has tight timelines with the proposal being due for submission on 24 June (5 pm), and the draft submission to the TPC team 20 June.  If TPC wins the bid and you are interested, there is also a big opportunity to continue to be involved in the project. The project starts on 15 July 2024, with completion by 28 February 2025.
