Hi everyone, I’m Heiko 👋
I’m new to the community and at the very beginning of exploring what a ”Portfolio Career” looks like for me.
A bit about me: I (try to) walk the line between AI engineering and strategy. In my full-time job I’m a Principal GenAI Architect at Google Cloud. And by night I’m an Affiliate Lecturer at LBS teaching a course on GenAI Product Design and an author for O’Reilly.
My core focus is moving AI from ”magic demos” to reliable, deployed software. Right now, I’m specifically deep-diving into Agentic Commerce (what happens to business models when AI agents start buying things on behalf of humans).
I know ”AI” can be a noisy topic and so I’m looking forward to share nuggets and notes ”from the field” where I focus on what actually works in enterprise production vs. what is just hype.

Thanks to Ben, Fiona and Team for talking us through the future developments on the platform and ideas for us all to make better connections at the Town Hall today. I live in Woking, Surrey so if fellow members want to meet as a group outside of London, I’d like to hear from you.
As a brief update, I am doing some consultancy for an AI-first Ad & Video production company called NOVAI (novaicreative.ai). I would be curious to meet others working in this area, those who have some expertise in advertising AI and of course, if any of you are a marketing consultant and looking to utilise AI production, as a potential solution provider.
