Background
Telet is a new breed of UK Mobile Network Operator. A full operator member of the GSMA, they run a 4G and 5G mobile network, focused on improving mobile coverage in rural “Not Spots” and on private networks for business, industry and public services. It’s a no brainer as everywhere needs coverage, but it’s not so easy to deliver. Telet is transitioning from a research and development company into a full commercial build, with its revenue generating activities migrating from being bespoke & consultancy lead towards an “off the shelf” product driven business. Their objective is to bring Private 5G networks to market into Holiday Parks such as caravans, motorhomes, static homes and camping. You can learn more about the company here.
To determine a pathway to profitability, Telet now wants to hire a fractional Finance Director to provide forward-looking strategic finance support. This will involve working alongside the CEO and leadership team to advise on how to grow the existing £500k yearly revenue, while supporting a fundraise of around £5m in 2024 through investment and/or alternative finance solutions. There is a professional (full-time) Finance Manager to support this work. You would also be actively involved in managing external stakeholders, such as investors, lenders, lawyers and outsourced accountants.
