How do you become an independent consultant? It's like how you become an independent producer in Hollywood - you were a studio exec and you got fired.

After 25 years as the UK's least happy finance professional (FD/CFO of 6 companies, periods ranging from 5 years to 10 days) I became, through a series of random mutations, an expert in the pricing of professional services.
