Start-up Fund Raising and Business Launch - Various
I develop pro forma financials, pitch decks and other investor recruitment documents to raise funds. I join in investor meetings & assist during diligence. I assist with deal terms, valuation & establishing infrastructure to manage post funding expense management in line with budget.
As CFO & COO for Netspend I led the reengineering of the Finance, Operations & IT teams to support public company requirements. The process took 18 months, cost multi-million $ and required overhauling people, processes & technology in all areas. All projects were delivered on time and on budget.
In 2010, while in-between engagements, I moved to Tuscany for two months to study the Italian language, Renaissance Art & History, Cooking & Wine Making. I traveled the region getting hands-on experiences with all these skills. This led to me becoming a sommelier and my passion for civic humanism.
