Experiences
Projects and Operations Director at PEP Health
I led the implementation and commercialisation of an AI patient experience platform across the NHS, US insurers and internationally. Internally, I led the scaling of remote business operations to support the business's growth from 5 to 20 employees and led initiatives to nurture our culture.
Measuring the Economic Impact of COVID in Real-time
I led a team working with the UK government to implement AI solutions to measure the impact of the COVID pandemic on the UK economy in real time. The team, under extreme pressure, delivered new government capabilities that allowed policymakers to coordinate the sequencing of lifting the lockdown.
Leading the Set Up of a National NHS Database
I led the creation and management of the NHS National Covid Chest Imaging Database (NCCID) to centralise chest images from COVID patients. The database is an invaluable source of data for researchers and clinicians to train new AI tools to improve patient outcomes, and continues to collect data.
Bemvindo a Portugal
I spend a lot of time in the stunning country of Portugal, where I am learning the language, exploring, enjoying the exceptional food and be by the sea, preferably surfing, as much as possible. Happy to share tips for your next trip!
Volunteering and Charity
I regularly volunteer for and blog about charitable organisations and communities, such as Giving What We Can and EA Global, as well as for my local Liberal Democrat Party. I also donate 10% of my income to the most effective charities, including GiveWell, GiveDirectly and Founders Pledge.
