We’re the world’s leading international door to door luggage collection and delivery service. Our service allows passengers to travel to or from their destination address without any luggage. We own and/or operate a number brands offering luggage delivery online.
Following inward demand from various suppliers in the travel and hospitality sector, we have developed luggage delivery software that is simple to integrate within partner websites. Due to this demand, we are evolving from a luggage delivery company to a luggage delivery and courier tech company.
Using cutting-edge technology and sophisticated integration combined with a high logistics operation creates a unique customer experience, our luggage transportation service will ensure that customer’s baggage is delivered to their travel destination before they arrive while keeping them up to date with progress as their luggage is tracked by state-of-the-art technology.
We have now entered the final 6 month phase of our management system development with our current third party provider and now we require a Senior Software developer to join our team as we prepare for the next phase.
The successful candidate would work alongside our experienced team consisting of their CTO, CCO, COO, Ops Director and our extensive network of technical consultants.
Location is flexible with both remote and working from head office in central London options.

Role specification
Initial Engagement
Work alongside current tech supplier, learning the system and supervising the delivery of the final architecture and functionality (4 – 6 months), to include:
- Participate in the design of new systems and functionality across backend (and frontend for full-stack position) systems to meet the needs of user stories produced from other business areas.
- Follow bespoke development process to effectively control the deliverables and communicate progress.
- Perform code review and testing of software produced by other team members/external support companies so that your team delivers reliable and secure software.
- Help establish and maintain code quality conventions to ensure clean, documented code across all systems
- Contribute to a central depository of business rules, dependencies and technical documentation for reference and reporting
Ongoing Engagement
Following the delivery of the final architecture and functionality, the ongoing duties include:
- Identifying and implementing further opportunities for replacing manual operations with automated systems
- Perform research and evaluation of analysis methods and system design to optimally produce new data products and software systems.
- Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts
- Test your own code’s functionality.
- Integrate software components and third-party programs
- Design or assist with the design and implementation of automated deployment and post deployment sanity checking
- Work with business to identify and prioritise technical improvements
The candidate – technical
- Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
- Hands on experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Experience developing ecommerce solutions with third party integrations
- Knowledge of coding languages (primarily PHP with some JavaScript, Sass), frameworks (Laravel, Alpine.js, Tailwind) and libraries (jQuery)
- Familiarity of testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Cypress) and application monitoring and error tracking software (Sentry)
- Experience with SQL databases, Postgres preferred
- Familiarity with Amazon Services (AWS, RDS) a bonus
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
