Experiences
10x growth with lab automation startup
In 2017, I joined a lab automation SaaS startup as a freelancer to replace their CFO.
In the following 6 years, I built up a finance team that was able to facilitate growth from 10 to 100 employees.
$10m financing round during COVID
In my role managing the finance function and assisting the CEO in special projects, I built the financial models and pitch deck slides to convince investors to participate in the company´s >$10m series B financing round.
Acquisition of cubuslab GmbH & integration into labfolder GmbH
I was part of the team preparing & executing the acquisition of a German SaaS startup in the life science industry by a complementary company.
After the merger, I also helped with post-merger integration.
Teaching & tutoring
In addition to my work with startups, I have been teaching maths & economics for 10 years.
Mostly as private tutor but also in a classroom environment.
Fire department squad leader & member of the board
I have spent several years with my local volunteer fire brigade.
While most of my contribution was in administrative tasks as a member of the board, I also acted as squad leader during actual firefighting.
