Support needed for a charity event
Hey all, I’m running a charity event in April to help Black & Mixed-race children in foster care get hair care, hair products and education all for free.
Many people don’t know this, but 8/10 Black and Mixed-heritage children are placed with families from different cultural backgrounds. So, many of them struggle to find the right hair care, which has a huge effect on their confidence and sense of identity.
We ran our first event in Leicester two weeks ago and it went down so well! The kids, carers and social workers all really appreciated the support.
Our next event will be on the 13th of April (six weeks away, yikes!).
And I need help with a few things…
1) Event planning: If any event planners/coordinators in the community are interested in supporting (ideally pro-bono) please drop me a DM!
2) Sponsorship: We are looking for organisations who want to sponsor community-led, social good, initiatives like this. R…

Hi Folks
I am looking for help in running a Website Audit… if you can help, or know someone who can, please read on
I’m fractional CMO at MoneyPlus, a leading player in the UK Debt Advice sector. Needless to say, our website is fundamental to our business as 99% of our marketing originating customers flow through the website (the other 1% call us directly). Up until this role I have been blessed with working on businesses where either the website has worked perfectly (or seemingly so), or we’ve had dedicated teams to work on Tech, UX, Content audits. So in my current position I am seeking a helping hand in figuring out what exactly we need to do…
Some initial thoughts include:
1)Significant CRO opportunity – improving conversions from click to lead.
2)UX optimization in general, and specifically looking at UX based on customer origin point.
3)Mobile site tech/speed improvement – can sometimes be slow or skippy and needs improving.
4)A …

Hi folks. I’ve recently joined The Portfolio Collective.
I’ve enjoyed the first couple of TPC networking calls and on the last one was asking if TPC organise any f2f community get-togethers.
The answer was “not yet but we’ve been thinking about it!”
Anyway, so I spoke to Charlotte Owen (Team Coordinator at TPC), shared a couple of ideas and offered to organise a first one
So this post is just to gauge levels of interest and to ask if anybody else would like to join.
I was thinking Central London before Easter – probably a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening 7.00 – 9.00pm.
I was planning to book a room in a pub (or other suitable venue) for 10 – 20 persons with possible dates:
+ 18/19/20, 25/26/27 March
+ 1/2/3, 8/9/10 April
We want to open this invite to anybody that’s new to TPC or new to Fraction…

Do we have any planning consultants, architecture firms, or even local authority planning officers in the group?
One of my current side projects is building an AI assistant to help with planning appeals, helping to summarise the 185,000 decisions made by different inspectors over the last 5 years.
I’m really keen to find out what would (and wouldn’t) be valuable, and whether the idea has legs, before investing further in the idea.
Many thanks!

Hey Niall, my son is a Planning Consultant – he likes the idea and would be happy to discuss further with you.

TPC Wine Tasting
We have one ticket left for the inaugural TPC wine tasting. It is planned for Wednesday 12 March, at my house (just off Sloane Square, London) and the theme will be Greece.
We’ll start @ 7:30pm, so that my wife and I can try and get the kids to sleep beforehand. We have identified some great Greek wines and food, plus Alina Listopad will swot up in advance to help us all learn new things about Greek wine, food, history and culture.
The price for all wines and food is £45 per person.
