Hi everyone, I’m Milly! I had an (overdue) chat with Ben Legg this week which gave me a kick up the butt to introduce myself!
So, hi 👋 I’m the founder of Generalist World, a community + learning platform for people with non-traditional, squiggly careers.
I go by ALOT of titles. Creator. Speaker. Writer. Podcaster. Community builder. Startup advisor (generalist is just more efficient! lol)
For 3yrs I’ve been building the GW movement (has been called a cult 😂) which now has 100,000 in our global network. I live, work and play from a remote island in the Scottish Highlands (pop: 191).
I had a realisation earlier this year that I hadn’t built a traditional startup. I’d built a portfolio business. We’re a super lean team (just me, 1 FT, 1 PT) and have a portfolio of products (community, newsletter, podcast, consulting, recruitment).
